How to block Roblox on iPhone

Semo is an iPhone app that blocks distracting apps by asking an AI question that quotes your own reason back to you. This page is only about Roblox.

How do you block Roblox on an iPhone?

It depends on what you mean by a block. Screen Time can limit Roblox, and you can ignore that limit if you know the passcode or never set one. Semo asks an AI question that quotes your own reason, and you can dismiss it. The steps on this page are Apple's. Semo is not on the App Store yet. Price shown in the app.

Block Roblox with iPhone Screen Time

Roblox is a game. Limiting Social will not catch it. The experience you meant to play and the Discover page are the same app, so a limit stops both. On iOS 26, tick Roblox inside Games. On iOS 27, Games is one of the Time Allowance categories. The Roblox website can still open an experience in Safari on iOS 26.

iOS 26

  1. Add Roblox under Games Settings, Screen Time, App Limits, Add Limit. Open Games and tick Roblox only. A limit on all of Games also caps every other game.
  2. Set the time for Discover, not for one experience iOS cannot see which experience is running. Choose a total for the Roblox icon, tap Next, and use Customize Days for school nights.
  3. A parent PIN is not this screen Roblox's parent PIN lives on a parent account. The Screen Time passcode is the iPhone's. If the person who plays knows either code, they can change the matching control. Check Always Allowed too.

iOS 27

  1. Roblox spends the Games allowance Time Allowances: set Games and the daily total. Discover and an experience you launched both use it. Manage Categories shows the grouping.
  2. The website is not automatically the game A linked Roblox site may count. If the browser still launches experiences, that is Safari until the site is linked. Check the category.

Apple's steps: App Limits on iOS 26 and Time Allowances on iOS 27. A limit you set for yourself can be ignored if you know the Screen Time passcode, or if you never set one.

What Roblox's own limits do, and why they fail

Roblox has account restrictions and a parent PIN aimed at a parent managing a child's account, including spending. Those controls are not a daily clock for the person who knows the PIN. Discover keeps offering another experience when one ends. Spending limits do not measure minutes. We could not find, in Roblox's public parent help on 31 October 2026, a self-serve daily lock that the account holder cannot dismiss or edit.

An example reason

Written for this page. Not a quote from a user.

I open Roblox for one experience with a friend, and Discover is why another one starts.

How Semo helps with Roblox

You can store that reason, and a rule that names the one experience. Semo blocks Roblox by asking an AI question that quotes it. Semo is not a parent PIN and it does not set spending limits. If a parent needs a control the player cannot change, that is Screen Time with the passcode held by the parent, or Roblox's own parent tools. We have no published results.

Questions

Will a Roblox parent PIN replace Screen Time?

No. The PIN is for account restrictions a parent sets, including spending. It is not the iPhone's App Limit. If the player knows the PIN, they can change what it protects.

Can I limit Discover and not one experience?

No. Both are the Roblox app. Screen Time has one switch for the icon.

The game still opens in the browser. What now?

On iOS 26 that is Safari, not the Roblox App Limit. Read the Safari guide. On iOS 27, check whether the Roblox site is linked to the Games allowance.
